Stay Home Hotel

Located on Quarantine Street, Stay Home Hotel is known world-over as a state of the art accommodation. With attractions such as the mountain of laundry piling up on your chair, it really is just like home.

Stay Home Hotel is a project born out of the unparalleled shift our collective lives took due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to find humour during some very dark days. It captures the newness, frustration, growing pains, acceptance, pop culture and self-reflection that arose from staying home.
The identity and monogram have been crafted to convey a feeling of sophistication ubiquitous with luxury hotels. There is a constant play between the rigidity of the visual language and the casual fun of the subject matter. From celebrating small milestones such as good mental health days, to joining the bandwagon of baking some sourdough, the project is rife with cultural references to the 2020 quarantine. The colour palette is contemporary; a combination of red and orange, with the occasional introduction of a secondary palette of blue and green.
The imagery is mundane, and moody to reflect the monotony of being indoors for long periods of time. Consider the hotel a time capsule, of a stay we’ll all remember for the rest of our lives.
